Health, Safety & Quality
Groundworks and civil engineering carry significant risk. We control it through planning, supervision and progressive inspection — within SMAS and ISO-accredited management systems.
High-risk work. Controlled before it starts.
Every one of these hazards demands rigorous planning and control. Safety is embedded into our planning before works commence — not added on site.

Plan Safely
Every operation is supported by site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), identifying and controlling:
- Site-specific hazards
- Plant interfaces
- Lifting operations
- Temporary works requirements
- Exclusion zones
- Emergency procedures
Execute precisely
Controls only work if they’re understood at the workface. Briefings, inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing site reviews make sure they are.
Clear lines of responsibility and accountability run through our whole management structure.

Every operative
Understands, applies and can stop work
Inspect progressively. Quality without compromise.
Our ISO management systems are supported by project-specific quality plans, inspection and test plans, quality control sheets and defined hold points.
Key stages are inspected, recorded and formally approved before the next works proceed — backed by testing and photographic records.
Deliver with certainty
As-built information and adoption records are developed alongside construction, not pieced together at completion. The result is a clear, auditable line of approval from installation to handover.
Built to approved design and method.
Tested and photographed at each hold point.
Formally signed off before works proceed.
As-builts and adoption records complete on day one.
